well today i´m going to toolk about a story that is christmas storms and sunshine,im going tu say a summary of the story,the point of view of the autor,the problems of the story and some values that i found in the story when read them.
well the autor of this story is elizabeth castle this story was wrote in the 18s century in new Ingland by elizabeth,but what was the inspiration of elizabeth to write this story with a teme so politic?Elizabeth Gaskell wrote this story in the early Victorian era, a historical period characterized by a certain social conflict, a product of the political reforms implemented. The upper layers of society, represented by the conservative political party, expressed their resistance to the changes that allowed the advancement of the middle strata of society, which demanded more liberal and democratic systems of power,this problem was the inspiration of elizabeth she had a point of view political of this story,but she put a message in the story for the readers,is a message to incentive the love of the christmas night,all the familys had differences but that no reason to be rivals each other and in the night of christmas wee need to do de peace with the others familys.
well the story start with two different familys,one is the family Hodgson is formed by Mr. and Mrs. Hodgson and their cute baby, and the other family is called Jenkins and they do not have children but if a cat who takes care of the house and is very naughty in their affairs, these two families have a political rivalry very big because each family has a critical thinking about the society in which they are living and the political problems that are happening to them.
Mr. Hodgson works in a well-known newspaper called examiner, this newspaper characterizes him for publishing a variety of articles of liberal and renovating political position for his readers and buyers of his newspaper, instead Mr. Jenkins works in a totally different newspaper to Mr. Hodgson the newspaper is called the flaying post, this newspaper has a much more serious and fomal posture with conservative ideals and ideals and articles totally different from Mr. Hodgson and the most curious thing is that the two families with ideals and political thoughts different as if they were rivals but they live in the same building and they have to live closer than they expected.

over the years this nobleman was becoming a cold person, arrogant with people and egocentric, but good he could give himself that luxury because he was a very important person with money.

in the step in which this story is developing the duke in his search for a woman with whom to spend his last years and to share his love, fell in love with the daughter of one of the most important nobles in Europe but the problem is that the father of the girl did not want to accept this prestigious because of his previous marriages and his latest social behaviors with other people since he had turned towards the eyes of other people a very arrogant man and knew very well that duke He had not yet been able to overcome the loss of his last wife, so he thought that but for the duke it was not like that, he had a different thought about the man's daughter, he wanted to be with her because he seemed a very nice and intelligent woman and wanted to know more about her, know her, and love her.
